@KatzinDavid: The sources given barely mention this person, if at all; most of them seem to mention this person's wife. Do you have sources about this person themselves? 331dot (talk) 10:08, 21 August 2017 (UTC) @331dot: Thank you for your feedback, and for sharing you legitimate concerns. Sources 2, 3, and 7 are an interview with the subject's wife. So I used it as proof of who the subject's wife is. She mentions that the subject teaches at his alma mater. I used the interview as a source for his alma mater. Lastly, she mentions that her husband is the rabbi of the synagogue Agudas Yisrael of Madison. So I used it as proof that the subject is rabbi of the said synagogue. I note that there are two other sources on the page for that piece of information, and I further note that the other five articles to which I have linked from this page do not mention his wife. The proof, as they say, is in the pudding.[reply]

@KatzinDavid: That's all fine and well; please review the notability guidelines for biographies; importantly it is expected that "People are presumed notable if they have received significant coverage in multiple published secondary sources that are reliable, intellectually independent of each other, and independent of the subject." A subject's wife does not establish notability for the subject as they would not be independent of the subject.(certainly they can be used to show other things, but not notability). In short the notability guidelines mean that this rabbi has to have in depth coverage about himself that isn't written by someone associated with him to merit an article. If you are working on that, no problem(though you may want to make this a draft if that will take time). 331dot (talk) 10:32, 21 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@331dot: Okay, now I understand. But as I mentioned above, there are other articles cited not related to his wife which, in my opinion, clearly establish the rabbi's notibliity.

One thing I'm having trouble with, though. There are no pictures of the subject in the Wikipedia commons. How would you suggest I find a photo to add which has no copyright issues?:— Preceding unsigned comment added by KatzinDavid (talkcontribs)

I don't know a lot about the technical aspects of image licensing but I do know that it isn't always easy to find images that can be appropriately licensed. I would suggest reviewing Uploading images for more information. Regarding the sources, for example, the 5th one is a basic announcement of an event and is not in depth coverage, as well as not being independent. The first one is his mother's obituary(which only establishes who his mother is). There needs to be extensive coverage of this rabbi himself and why he is notable. Reading this page, it seems to me like there could be, I think it's just a matter of finding it. 331dot (talk) 10:58, 21 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@331dot: alright. I'll work on it.
