Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on York Region Transit. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

Fares section

[edit]

To user @Blaixx:. I removed the fares table because Wikipedia isn't a travel guide. It's not the place we should be going to to find out how much the train costs, that is what the official transit website is for, and the reference to that section was still remaining. I think you're misinterperating WP:NOTTRAVEL. Fares are a fundamental characteristic of a public transit system (which this article is about) in the same way that height is a charactersitic of a tall building. If the article was listing bus-accessable landmarks or recommending people take taxis because they are faster, that would be a travel guide and that content would need to be removed. Ticketing may be a fundamental characteristic, but the exact price of a journey (as well as all concessions, integrated ticket discounts, and monthly passes etc) change all the time, and as I said before it's a basic copy/paste from the reference provided. Neither dynamically changing content, nor content that looks visually similar to external sources are valid reasons to remove referenced information. See Template:2019–20 NHL Eastern Conference standings for another allowable example of this type of data on Wikipedia. BLAIXX 19:30, 17 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
