Translation of "Yao"

[edit]

I am not fluent in Chinese but I am a student of Chinese Medicine and my understanding is that a better translation of "Yao" would be "Drug" in this context. It is available in a powder form but the usual Chinese terms for powder are "San" or "Fen." —Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.169.188.225 (talk) 17:08, 10 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I am native Chinese, in my opinion, I would suggest keep the original name "Yunnan Baiyao" is the special noun, we should keep it just as we don't translate "yunnan" into "Cloud South" so everybody would understand Zbookx (talk) 08:35, 20 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Alternatives to Yunnan Baoyao

[edit]

In the West, people do not quite know about Yunnan Baoyao. So what drugs are used for symptoms that would use Yannan Baoyao in China? How does Yunnan Baoyao compare with these alternatives? --Roland (talk) 10:03, 14 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
