Major edits
[edit]This page was pathetic. I organized, it looked up info for it and added a bunch of information. I added links, and other things. It's difficult since Yuu Watase is very reserved when it comes with describing her personal life. She likes talking about her works though.
I also deleted the stub part and made it a full page. I'm adding a photo next. I'm kind of surprised at the lack of interest in the *author* of a manga and collecting info on them.

Useless link?
[edit]Just wondering, but what's the relevance of the link to Sho-Comi? It doesn't seem to have much to do with Watase. 64.121.35.146 20:47, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
- It gives context for her work, insofar as the Sho-Comi page lists (and links to) other manga that appeared alongside Watase's works. —Quasirandom 16:27, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
Correct spelling of her name - Yu, Yū or Yuu?
[edit]This page is under Yu Watase, but throughout the article she's called Yuu Watase. I've also seen Yū Watase around. So is it Yu, Yū or Yuu?
I did a google test:
- Yu Watase: 49600 hits
- Yuu Watase: 221000 hits
- Yū Watase: 50700
Seems like this page should be moved to the correct name, and the other two should redirect to that one. So unless anyone objects (or has proof on what the official spelling of her name is), I'll move it this page to Yuu Watase (based on the google results). Ninja neko 21:03, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
- "Correct" is obviously a question of definition, but what is certain is that the two latter ones would be closer to the original Japanese than the first one. Other than that it depends on what style of romanization you employ. Thus I would also be cautious about using the word "correct" in the article.Rōnin 06:01, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
- It's what she prefers per her personal website. The Kanji for her name though is "Yuuu", not just "Yuu", therefore it should be written as "Yūu", not "Yuu". わwaらraうu Smile! 03:09, 19 November 2008 (UTC)moocowsrule
- No, she reads it as "Yū". I've seen this in articles about her as well as in the Japanese article. ···日本穣? · Talk to Nihonjoe 06:37, 19 November 2008 (UTC)
i am collecting watase's work and currently own 39 volumes of her novels and every single one says "Yuu" i also remember reading some were that she requested her name be translated that way as it was preveously written as "Yu". (1st time comment on wiki by miss jadore violet 20/09/2009)

[edit]there is now a snapshot available Image:Yuu Watase.jpg, for those willing to add it to the page! --Smark911 23:51, 16 August 2007 (UTC)
- Done. I actually noticed it at the Japanese wiki and since this was a commons image it was easy enough to add. ···巌流? · talk to ganryuu 10:12, 7 November 2007 (UTC)
