Timeline Placement

As of 2024, Breath of the Wild no longer takes place at the end of the timeline, but in a separate continuity from the other games in the franchise. TotK - the direct sequel to BotW - contradicts the "end of timeline" placement by proposing an alternate origin of Ganondorf from OoT and sealing him in place under Hyrule since its founding, invalidating every other game in the franchise.

If the above is not assumed to be canon, then the ambiguity of BotW's timeline placement must at least be acknowledged and all references to it in this article removed. 2601:1C2:4680:E1D0:C9ED:E3AA:679F:FEE7 (talk) 03:32, 31 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

On the recent plot rewrite

The "Plot" section of this article was rewritten on October 30, 2024. Although there's nothing wrong with this inherently, the rewrite was riddled with typos, grammatical errors, and confusing language; while many of those errors have been fixed in subsequent edits, I don't think the synopsis needed to be rewritten at all; the old synopsis is closer to the one by which the article was given good article status in 2018 (Old revision of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild).

The errors can be corrected, but I think we need to decide whether to keep the synopsis from before the rewrite, or after. — gabldotink [ talk | contribs | global account ] 16:48, 8 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
