"Hang on to Yourself"

[edit]

This is the proper spelling of the song (see above). There is no page called Hang on to Yourself (song). Please see Wikipedia:Redirect; creating unneeded Redirect pages is discouraged. Fantailfan (talk) 16:58, 28 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The Near Fall of Ziggy Stardust. Comment

[edit]

You say, Just before the final track, he announces, "Not only is it the last show of the tour, but it's the last show that we'll ever do. Thank you." Many in the audience believed that Bowie himself was retiring. "The PBS History of Rock and Roll" does a great job of explaining this. His stage wife from hell, Angie, had enough of RCA and RCA probably had enough of the both of them around about 1973. I don't know how big he was in the UK, but Bowie was not a big act in the US. "The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust" charted at a respectable 72 in the US, hardly earthshattering. It was about this time that Bowie was doing a lot thanks to cocaine. He had produced "Transformer." He releases two albums, "Aladdin Sane" and "Pinups". He is doing what would later become known as music videos. And he is working on "Diamond Dogs", and that was the key that opened the door in the US for David Bowie. Sometimes, if you hang in there long enough good things will happen.User:JCHeverly 04:22, 17 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
