I agree that equating "zorak" with "sorok" (the Russian word for the number 40) is a bit of a stretch. Also, if the species name of someone from the planet Dokar is necessarily a "Dokarian" (as noted in the trivia section), does that mean we are not Homo sapiens or human but earthlings, earthers, or terranians? 165.91.65.219 (talk) 06:46, 19 February 2008 (UTC)RKH[reply]

[edit]

I've tried to clean up the page a bit, tightening the language and adding in some trivia details. If I've missed anything, feel free to add where appropriate. SGreenwell 08:20, 29 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Does anyone know this from the comic trivia - I was cleaning up the line * Both Brak and Zorak have names that have Russian meanings. "Zorak" (better spelled Sorak Сорак) means "40" in Russian, while "Brak" (Брак) means "wedding". when it occured to me (as a native speaker of Russian) that "40" is actually "Sorok" with an "o", thereby invalidating previous claim - Zorak to Sorok is pretty far - but I did not want to change the line as I do not know if the comic creator's intention was to have this meaning to the name. Please let me know if I can change the line...-Ani td 18:22, 10 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Zorak's Background sound

[edit]

If I recal correctly, Zorak also had a unique background sound on SG:CTC, kind of a buzzing, locusty sound... Not really all that notable, but its one of the things I remember best about the series, so I was wondering if anyone would think it was notable enough to put in here... —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 65.24.159.50 (talk) 22:39, 14 January 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Not really; it's just because the show featured dead-air sometimes. So instead of it having 30 seconds of dead air (5 watching Moltar, 10 watching Zorak, 15 watching Space Ghost), they might insert ten seconds of buzzing instead. JimmmyThePiep 09:38, 21 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Zorak's Background

[edit]

There's a bunch of information on Zorak's background throughout the series. (Some of it's included on Wikipedia already). Is it fine to add more as I find it, or do I have to set up a discussion everytime first? JimmmyThePiep 09:39, 21 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It's fine to add it. I think I'm the only person who watches this page, and normally I only revert if something sounds really ludicrous to me. Also, given that Space Ghost has been off the air for several years now, there normally aren't that many changes per day. Just include cites about your information, like you did with the Torak stuff, and it'll all be gravy. SGreenwell 10:28, 21 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
