2015 Strade Bianche
[edit]- ... that the 2015 Strade Bianche was partly ridden on dirt roads, but finished in the Piazza del Campo (pictured) in Siena?
Created by Relentlessly (talk). Self nominated at 15:33, 8 March 2015 (UTC).
- Sorry, forgot to mention my QPQ. It's Template:Did you know nominations/Krishna Upanishad. Relentlessly (talk) 15:36, 8 March 2015 (UTC)
- The hook is clear, interesting and meets the formatting and length requirements. The content of the hook and image both appear in the article. The image is public domain and is clear at 100x100. The article was nominated within 7 days of creation and meets the length requirement. I don't detect any copyvio. Most of the article is neutral, with the exception of one line about the importance of the race that is provided without a citation. Relentlessly's QPQ is done. There are a few small fixes that will make this good to go. It seems that the heading "Preview" in the article should be replaced since the race has already occurred. There are a few missing citations (including one paragraph without any citations). I took the liberty of putting the "citation needed" tag into the article in these areas just to make them easier to identify--hope that's ok! --Arthistorygrrl (talk) 21:36, 9 April 2015 (UTC)
- I'm on holiday until Tuesday, so won't be able to respond properly until then. But most of your tags are a little absurd, in my opinion, given that you do not have to have a citation in every sentence, nor indeed in every paragraph. Those are not Wikipedia rules and they are not DYK rules. But I will have a look at them when I get back. I agree with you about "preview", and will change it to "route" and "pre-race favourites". I'm also not sure about your neutrality point, since it is IMO supported by the citation. As I say, until Tuesday, please. Relentlessly (talk) 07:39, 10 April 2015 (UTC)
- Going to have to disagree with Relentlessly on the citation question. The items tagged for citation were non-obvious and require verification, so, according to Wikipedia policy, they need a citation. I've added a single citation at the end of the paragraph that covers all of the points raised regarding the race favorites. MisterB777 (talk) 18:53, 10 April 2015 (UTC)
- Thank you. Your edit brings the number of citations for those sentences up to two, which is excellent. (Nb that WP/DYK policy does not require a citation in every sentence.) Relentlessly (talk) 21:07, 10 April 2015 (UTC)
- @Arthistorygrrl:, I believe all your concerns are now addressed. Should be good to go? Relentlessly (talk) 16:07, 16 April 2015 (UTC)
- @Relentlessly: Yes, good to go! --Arthistorygrrl (talk) 20:24, 17 April 2015 (UTC)
