Everything Is Awesome
[edit]- ... that the song "Everything Is Awesome!!!" from The Lego Movie is a collaboration by Tegan & Sara and Lonely Island?
Created by Tbc32 (talk). Nominated by Theparties (talk) at 08:49, 17 February 2014 (UTC).
- Too short; 762 characters. Please also reference the statement "reached number 65 on the UK Singles Chart" as well. Cloudchased (talk) 14:42, 18 February 2014 (UTC)
- I'm fixing this right now, please wait.--Theparties (talk) 05:29, 19 February 2014 (UTC)
- I've expanded this to over 1600 characters + removed the unsourced sentence.--Theparties (talk) 06:01, 19 February 2014 (UTC)
- Yep, 1591 characters. Only concern is that "Fascism" is capitalized, and the article right now seems rather quote-heavy. Perhaps it would be possible to paraphrase the quotes given? Just a suggestion, and not a blocker for DYK. Everything's cited now, and statements (though referenced separately) are cited appropriately. I removed the NFCC concern from the file page, by the way. This would technically be a {{subst:DYKtick}}, but the expansion came a bit late and is outside of DYK bounds, and I'll let the decision of whether or not to let it reach the Main Page to be under the discretion of the DYK volunteer who reads this. Cloudchased (talk) 03:54, 20 February 2014 (UTC)
- This is a new article, so it's the file creation date, not the expansion date, that matters. Nominated was dated Feb. 17th, within 5 days after creation on the 12th. Rest of the review by Cloudchased above. --PFHLai (talk) 16:47, 23 February 2014 (UTC)
- Since PFHLai approved this, there have been edits that changed the article and its editing quality. Two bare URLs were added - one in the lead to an audio distribution platform, and a YouTube URL under "Music Video". Unsourced content has been added at the end of the "Commercial Performance" section. An entire new section of "Charts and certifications" has been added. These need to be checked. — Maile (talk) 22:52, 24 February 2014 (UTC)

:* The following has been checked in this review by Matty.007
- Adding icon to reflect the current state of the nomination. Matty.007, even if you only give a partial review, you need to include a status icon to show where it stands. BlueMoonset (talk) 19:00, 9 March 2014 (UTC)
- It's been over a week, the March 9 ping by Matty.007 on Theparties' talk page was deleted without any response, and the article is still too short at 1266 prose characters, which includes what is still excessive amounts of quoting. With Theparties blocked four days after the ping (two days after the deletion) for a week, I see no reason to keep this open. BlueMoonset (talk) 15:55, 16 March 2014 (UTC)
