Feminist Hulk

[edit]

Created by Gobonobo (talk). Self nominated at 22:33, 14 October 2013 (UTC).

  • FEMINIST HULK READY TO SMASH WIKIPEDIA GENDER IMBALANCE BY APPEARING ON FRONT PAGE. BUT HULK THINKS SUBMITTER SHOULD CONSIDER AMUSING HOOK IN ALL CAPS. Gamaliel (talk) 22:27, 5 November 2013 (UTC)

HULK THINK THAT FRONT PAGE NOT READY FOR FOUR LETTER WORDS BUT HULK LIKES OTHER HOOKS Gamaliel (talk) 04:39, 7 November 2013 (UTC)

  • This is all very amusing, but I can't tell what was reviewed and what was approved. --Orlady (talk) 16:35, 7 November 2013 (UTC)
Sorry. The article is fully reviewed and ready to go, with either Alt1 or Alt3 as the hook. Gamaliel (talk) 17:01, 7 November 2013 (UTC)
The ALT1 and ALT3 are not appropiate hooks, I want a fresh review of the original hook. Mentoz86 (talk) 09:28, 8 November 2013 (UTC)
Why do you feel they are inappropriate? Gamaliel (talk) 13:25, 8 November 2013 (UTC)
WP:DYKSG#C6 - "If the subject is a work of fiction or a fictional character, the hook must involve the real world in some way." Mentoz86 (talk) 13:29, 8 November 2013 (UTC)
This hook mentions the title of the project and its chief goal and clearly communicates its satirical intent. A hook that doesn't involve the real world would be something like "... that The USS Reliant visited Ceti Alpha V?" Gamaliel (talk) 15:52, 8 November 2013 (UTC)
Here's a couple more alts. Gobōnobō + c 01:04, 9 November 2013 (UTC)
  1. 4 is hysterical. So I'm not sure how we deal with this impasse. Do we wait for other editors to chime in? Gamaliel (talk) 17:56, 10 November 2013 (UTC)
  • Usually more leeway is provided for April Fools Day. If you want to hold onto this until then, that's probably doable. I laughed for a good full minute after reading ALT4. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 22:52, 13 November 2013 (UTC)
  • Agreed. If you're willing to wait a couple months for the DYK, the Hulk jokes would be an ideal April Fools Day candidate. Resolute 05:14, 14 November 2013 (UTC)
  • I still think there's nothing wrong with using these hooks any time, but they would be a great fit for April 1st. Either way, I think it is up to User:Gobonobo to decide if s/he wants to wait. Gamaliel (talk) 17:41, 14 November 2013 (UTC)
  • I've no objection to holding this for April 1st. Gobōnobō + c 05:58, 18 November 2013 (UTC)
  • Alt4 is cited and other stuff is good. moving to holding area Thingg 02:40, 22 November 2013 (UTC)
