@Fitindia: New article, long enough, sourced, QPQ done, no copyvios seen. However, the source says he spent nine months, not eleven, in jail. Which is it? --Usernameunique (talk) 19:27, 1 September 2017 (UTC)

Hi, I came by to promote this, but I question the choice of hook for a BLP. Should the first line of the article say: Gilbert Mendonca is an Indian politician and convicted criminal? I don't think this hook fact belongs on the main page. BTW, a politician doesn't "fight" an election; he "contests" an election. 21:38, 18 September 2017 (UTC)

Hi, Yoninah have changed fought to contested, thank you for pointing that out. Regarding the hook the only other interesting fact is that his wife and daughter were both elected mayors of Mira-Bhayandar a municipality with a population of about 800,000. FITINDIA 21:59, 18 September 2017 (UTC)

@Fitindia: well, people are notable for themselves, not their relatives' accomplishments – unless there's some way you could work it into a hooky hook, like about a "political family". @Fitindia: thanks, but ALT1 isn't going to be so interesting to people who live outside Mira-Bhayandar. I added some more sources to the article to get more material to work with. What do you think about:
