Home (Basshunter song)
- ... that Linnea Deb is vocalist on the 2019 Basshunter song "Home"?
- ... that the idea for the 2019 Basshunter's "Home" originated during Powerhouse's yearly song writing camp held in Dubai?

- The article itself is expanded 5x recently and long enough. There's problems with citing, specifically that the source provided for the hook is a Youtube video and not a more reliable source. Also, the Deezer page doesn't actually mention the information that you say it does. Lastly, the hook itself would arguably not be interesting to a broad audience: Linnea Deb isn't especially notable in this context. Feel free to ping me after you give it some more work. ◢ Ganbaruby! - @Ganbaruby: Thank you for fast look at the thing. I would like to say that it's common mistake saying that any YouTube material is not reliable. Cited materials are published by labels/artist itself and there is even verified badge on these channels (otherwise I would provide way to weirfy that account is official). Deezer is only used for release date and labels so which information is not mentioned on Deezer? Linnea Deb is commom Swedish singer and songwritter so I thought it will be enough. Come back to broad audience unfortunatelly even Basshunter may not meet the criteria in some context. Eurohunter (talk) 19:02, 14 October 2019 (UTC)
- @Eurohunter: Let me explain myself a little further. The problem with citing is primarily because you used a self published source as the only source for your hook statement. This is a problem because it could violate the second guideline about self-published sources ("does not involve claims about third parties"). The DYK guidelines specifically say to use reliable sources in the hook statement, so it would be preferable if you found a secondary source about the claim. Upon closer inspection I see why you added 5 Deezer citations, so that's ok, even if it's a bit of overkill. My biggest concern is still with the hook itself, however, since it's not particularly hooky. You might want to refer to the DYK guidelines to see how you can come up with a better hook. ◢ Ganbaruby! - @Ganbaruby: It's very basic fact, we often take credits directly from the release (here you have even direct link to it instead of just raw release citation in template AV media cite). AV media cite is even allowed in featured articles. Eurohunter (talk) 15:59, 17 October 2019 (UTC)

- I just took a quick look at the article and I would have to agree that the hook is not interesting to those who are unfamiliar with Swedish music. I also noticed that the grammar needs to be fixed in the article. In any case, the article needs much work before this can be featured on DYK. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 02:14, 17 October 2019 (UTC)
- As for a new hook, here are some possible suggestion: perhaps more reviews could be found for the single, or perhaps information about the writing and influences used for the song could be found? Try not to limit yourself to a Swedish audience as the hook is supposed to interest readers who may not be familiar with the artist or the genre. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 20:03, 17 October 2019 (UTC)
- @Narutolovehinata5: What do you mean by "writing and influences used for the song"? Eurohunter (talk) 14:24, 19 October 2019 (UTC)
- Basically, if more information about how the song was made and what were the influences that the artist had in making the song could be found, that would be really helpful. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 20:45, 19 October 2019 (UTC)
- @Narutolovehinata5: So I have added information about that idea was orginating from during Powerhouse's yearly song writing camp held in Dubai. Eurohunter (talk) 20:49, 19 October 2019 (UTC)
- Eurohunter I am not sure exactly what Narutolovehinata5 was thinking of, but I just read the article, and now I wonder what the song is about. The title is Home, yes, but what does the songwriter say about home? We don't need the whole lyrics, but I would like to know more about its ideas, feelings, what it expresses .... Was it relevant that they were away from home when they wrote it? RebeccaGreen (talk) 10:34, 5 November 2019 (UTC)
- I was asking Eurohunter if there was any information available about the themes and influences that were used in making the song, in the hope that perhaps a hook could have been proposed based on that. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 10:49, 5 November 2019 (UTC)
- Similar to my questions, I think. I think the article would benefit from having that kind of information included, and perhaps a hook could be based on it too. RebeccaGreen (talk) 10:58, 5 November 2019 (UTC)
- @RebeccaGreen: @Narutolovehinata5: Unfortunatelly "The idea for the song originated during Powerhouse's yearly song writing camp held in Dubai" is the only avaiable information right now. Eurohunter (talk) 19:43, 5 November 2019 (UTC)

- @Ganbaruby and RebeccaGreen: Per the above comment, can this nomination still move forward? Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 21:35, 5 November 2019 (UTC)
- @Narutolovehinata5: Sorry, but in my opinion, that hook still isn't interesting to a broad audience. Many songs are made at writing camps or similar events, and the fact that it was at Dubai isn't particularly special either. ◢ Ganbaruby! (talk to me) 22:11, 5 November 2019 (UTC)
- It appears that no suitable hook can be proposed at this time and no more "hooky" information could be found in sources; as such, the nomination is now marked for closure as unsuccessful. Sorry that things didn't turn out the way you hoped, hopefully you will have more success in your future nominations. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 00:23, 6 November 2019 (UTC)
- Not so fast. ALT2: ... that the 2019 Basshunter song "Home" was described as a throwback to the bounce music of the 2000s? (Source: Scandipop) feminist (talk) 11:24, 7 November 2019 (UTC)
- That sounds fine, though I'd like to hear what the others think about it. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 15:02, 7 November 2019 (UTC)
- @Feminist: Good proposal, I didn't think about it. Eurohunter (talk) 18:57, 7 November 2019 (UTC)

- Approving ALT2. Rest of the review per Ganbaruby. ~~ CAPTAIN MEDUSAtalk 16:38, 19 November 2019 (UTC)
