Kaori Maeda
- ... that Japanese voice actress Kaori Maeda cites Mister Donut fortune-telling as one of her hobbies? Source: [1], [2]
- ALT1: ... that prior to starting a voice acting career, Kaori Maeda was part of a high school band that covered songs by anime singer LiSA? Source: https://ddnavi.com/interview/456672/a/

- Comment: Special thanks to Vaticidalprophet for suggesting ALT0. This nomination was workshopped at this discussion at WT:DYK and some additional context can be read there.
As of this nomination the article is still technically incomplete as I'm still going to add a filmography section.ALT1 is only a backup in case ALT0 doesn't work out as I'm not sure if LiSA is well-known enough to broad audiences.

QPQ: Done. |
Overall: Thank you for this article about a voiceover actress. I am happy with the hooks because they might appeal to the type of audience which would be interested in this actress. ALT1 bears out with the source listed here (I used Google Translate), and in the article. Some issues:
Twitter cannot be used as a source for the hook or article, because it is not authoritative or peer-reviewed. Several of the article sources appear to be Twitter.Other sources are not identified in English, so because of the Twitter sources I am now wondering how many of them are authoritative. In each reference, please include information on who/what the sources are (book? TV station? Radio station? Film company? Magazine?)Re ALT0: using Google Translate, I cannot find anything about fortune telling in the Japanese sources given here. Please include an English translation of that part of the source, in the article reference. You need to do a QPQ.
I suggest that you provide English translations for the relevant part of each source, adding the translation into the reference in each case. Storye book (talk) 20:32, 8 January 2022 (UTC)
- @Storye book: Thank you for the review. I actually accomplished a QPQ above (Ireland's Eye). I'll get along to the sourcing soon. As for the Twitter sources, as far as I'm aware, WP:SELFPUB states that they can be used to verify certain statements about the subject as long as they're uncontroversial and the relevant source is verified to be them. With regards to the Japanese sources, [3] is her agency profile, [4] is an interview with her published by a website run by Kadokawa Corporation (a major Japanese publishing company), [5] is a news report from Japanese news site Natalie (which is frequently used in articles about Japanese media personalities), [6], [7] and [8] are official websites to anime or games she's appeared in, and the remaining Twitter links are official Twitter accounts. - Thank you, Narutolovehinata5 for that very helpful inform\tion. Sorry I missed the QPQ; I have now credited it.
Please would you kindly add your above identifying information to the references, including clarifications that the Twitter accounts are her own? I'll update the review when you have done that.Storye book (talk) 11:40, 9 January 2022 (UTC)
- @Storye book: The tweets from her account are already credited to her, the author is listed as "Maeda, Kaori" in the references. I'm not really sure though how to clarify the remaining sources. Narutolovehinata5 (talk · contributions) 11:45, 9 January 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you, Narutolovehinata5.
I have clarified ref. no. 3. for you, as an example. Could you do the rest now? It will look better if you do it, because I cannot read Japanese, and you can.Storye book (talk) 12:03, 9 January 2022 (UTC)
- Really sorry for the delay! I'm actually still not sure exactly how I'm supposed to label each reference. Should I say, for example, "official Twitter account" for the Twitter sources? How about the Da Vinci News and Natalie links? Shouldn't listing them as a publisher/website name be sufficient? Narutolovehinata5 (talk · contributions) 09:57, 11 January 2022 (UTC)
- @Narutolovehinata5:
Anything that you can say to show that they are an authoritative source will help. If you say it is a named TV news site or a named newspaper/magazine site, then it is clearly authoritative. But some others you may need to briefly explain, to show that they are authoritative. Official Twitter account is fine. I hope that helps. Do the easy ones, and let's see what's left?Storye book (talk) 11:31, 11 January 2022 (UTC)

- @Storye book: I've clarified most of the remaining sources (either briefly explaining what those sources are or clarifying official accounts/websites wherever applicable). Does anything else need to be done? Narutolovehinata5 (talk · contributions) 10:06, 13 January 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you, Narutolovehinata5, you have done a fantastic job, identifying the sources for us. It is much appreciated.
There is one last thing that I need to ask. Google Translate garbles Japanese most of the time. So please could you kindly translate the part of the source which confirms hook ALT0? That is, the bit which mentions her Mister Donut fortune telling?Storye book (talk) 10:49, 13 January 2022 (UTC)
- @Storye book: The quote in question is "12時間生放送からお便りめちゃくちゃ頂くようになったミスド例え芸(?)からのミスド占い。" Admittedly my Japanese isn't that good (I use Google Translate a lot of the time for translation purposes) but my limited Japanese does seem to confirm the "Mister Donut fortune telling" thing ("ミスド占い" seems to be the text in question). - Thank you, Narutolovehinata5 All is completed, and thank you for your hard work and patience. This nom is good to go, with ALT0 or ALT1. It is good to have an anime hook for our huge following of anime (including me) that we have here on WP. Storye book (talk) 11:07, 13 January 2022 (UTC)
