Created by Jesswade88 (talk). Nominated by MrClog (talk) at 20:19, 29 June 2019 (UTC).

General: Article is new enough and long enough
Policy: Article is sourced, neutral, and free of copyright problems
Hook: Hook has been verified by provided inline citation
Image: Image is freely licensed, used in the article, and clear at 100px.
QPQ: Done.

Overall: The last sentence in the third paragraph under Research and career does not have an inline citation. The inline citation for the actual hook is to her research paper, proving that GPS can be used to detect seismic waves; however, nowhere do I see it actually saying she was the first to prove this. Ergo Sum, I have added a source for the last sentence of the third paragraph. I also added 2 sources for the hook. Thanks, MrClog (talk) 22:26, 30 June 2019 (UTC)
MrClog Thank you for your prompt response. Everything seems to check out now. Passing hook 1. Ergo Sum 22:32, 30 June 2019 (UTC)
  • Hi, I came by to promote ALT0, but I need verification that she was the first scientist to do so; footnote 6, which is online, says she did so as part of a team. Yoninah (talk) 22:50, 30 July 2019 (UTC)
  • @MrClog: it has been over 2 weeks since my post. Please address it soon, or this nomination will be closed as unsuccessful. Thanks, Yoninah (talk) 20:41, 15 August 2019 (UTC)
  • Yoninah, sorry - I was on holiday when you posted the reply and I forgot about it since. Footnote 7 (if you want to access it, you can create an account with a non-existing email address to access it for free) states: "For measuring seismic waves from Denali, Larson's team used GPS receivers set to measure positions once each second, or 1Hz.". It appears Larson lead the team of scientists that first measured seismic waves with GPS (which would also explain the part of a team bit. ALT2: ... that Kristine M. Larson (pictured) lead the team that was first to demonstrate that GPS could be used to detect seismic waves? - Would this be fine (I have changed the article accordingly)? --MrClog (talk) 20:49, 15 August 2019 (UTC)
  • Thank you, that's better. I'm going to tweak your hook as follows:
  • ALT2a: ... that Kristine M. Larson (pictured) led the research team that was first to demonstrate that GPS could be used to detect seismic waves?
  • ALT2a hook ref verified and cited inline. Rest of review per ErgoSum. Good to go. Yoninah (talk) 20:57, 15 August 2019 (UTC)
