Marshall Heights, Washington, D.C.

[edit]
  • ... that the Eastgate Gardens public housing project in Washington, D.C.'s Marshall Heights neighborhood was so bad, even drug gangs called it the "Gates of Hell"?

"On one building in the gutted complex, members of the local drug gang, the Eastgate Crew, have spray-painted a fitting description: 'Gates of Hell.'" Source: Loeb, Vernon (May 10, 1995). "Ward 7 Citizen Development Group Draws National Notice". The Washington Post. p. A1. Retrieved October 9, 2016.

5x expanded by Tim1965 (talk). Self-nominated at 17:37, 9 October 2016 (UTC).

  • For Halloween on October 31 (due to "Gates of Hell")
  • 5x expansion verified. New enough, long enough, neutrally written, well referenced, no close paraphrasing seen. However, there are 2 paragraphs under "Community resources" which lack cites, per Rule D2. Hook ref verified and cited inline; however, I'm wondering if the hook could be tightened/sharpened for a Halloween appearance? QPQ done. Yoninah (talk) 22:38, 24 October 2016 (UTC)
  • Fixed the two paragraphs which had missing cites. How about this for an alternative hook? - Tim1965 (talk) 17:51, 25 October 2016 (UTC)
ALT2: ... that the "Gates of Hell" could be found in Washington, D.C.?
  • Terrific! ALT2 hook ref verified and cited inline. All other paragraphs cited. You did a really good job on this article; it's pretty much ready for GA! ALT2 good to go for Halloween. Yoninah (talk) 19:11, 25 October 2016 (UTC)
