Mihai Codreanu

[edit]

* ... that Romanian poet Mihai Codreanu wrote several volumes of sonnets, as well as heading a theatre and a university, while nearly blind?

  • The article is new, has never been featured on the Main Page, and is long enough. It contains inline citations with a "Notes" section at the bottom of the article. The references are in Romanian so they are accepted under WP:Goodfaith. There are no dispute templates and copyright violation is unlikely. The article is written in a neutral manner. The hooks are short enough and neutral. QPQ has been complete.
For the nominated DYKs, the first one is not cited with an inline citation after the fact (as the information is inferred in the paragraph.) ALT1 is cited but the quotes in the DYK are not quoted in the article, plus I think it's too wordy. ALT2 passes. ALT3 technically is not cited after the fact in the article (although I think this is the most interesting DYK.) ALT4 passes. I'm going to notify the nominator to ask if they prefer ALT2, ALT4, or would like to fix up one of the other nominations. Please ping me if you update this nomination or you want me to propose modified DYKs. Z1720 (talk) 22:54, 3 July 2015 (UTC)
User:Z1720, if you like ALT3, I've added in the requisite citation, so it hopefully passes now. Thanks for the review. - Biruitorul Talk 00:05, 4 July 2015 (UTC)
Hi @Biruitorul: I looked at the article history and you haven't edited the article today. What does it mean when you said you added the requisite citation? Just to clarify, ALT3 needs a citation after the sentence where the information appears. Z1720 (talk) 04:53, 4 July 2015 (UTC)
Yes, User:Z1720, you're right. Now we should be good to go. - Biruitorul Talk 05:41, 4 July 2015 (UTC)
I crossed out the first hook because it is not technically cited (and I felt it was the least "hooky.") I removed the quotes in ALT1 to pass it. ALT2, ALT3 and ALT4 are also passed. My preferred hook is ALT3. Since the references are in Romanian I pass the nomination in Good Faith that the information is in the references. Z1720 (talk) 16:07, 4 July 2015 (UTC)
