Mouna Ragam
[edit]... that Mouna Ragam (1986) was Mani Ratnam's first film to use staccato dialogues?
Improved to Good Article status by Thamizhan1994 (Appo Pesu). Nominated by Kailash29792 (talk) at 12:19, 1 January 2015 (UTC).
- Thamizhan1994, how about this hook?
ALT1 ... that Mouna Ragam was titled after the song "Naan Paadum Mouna Ragam" from Idaya Kovil (1985)?Kailash29792 (talk) 14:13, 5 January 2015 (UTC)
- Kailash29792 You can also choose this, but I guess the first one is also good. Thamizhan1994 (Appo Pesu) 07:09, 9 January 2015

ALT2 ... that Mouna Ragam was the first Mani Ratnam film to use staccato dialogues?(UTC)
- Thanks, the second one is shorter, and it has been chosen. Now we must wait for a DYK reviewer. Kailash29792 (talk) 07:24, 9 January 2015 (UTC)
- Kailash29792 Ok. :) Thamizhan1994 (Appo Pesu) 07:31, 9 January 2015 (UTC)

- Thamizhan1994, sorry I give up. I hope to follow the DYK instructions properly during any future DYK nominations. Kailash29792 (talk) 08:19, 30 January 2015 (UTC)
- Note to Thamizhan1994: if you want to take over the nomination, you're welcome to do so. I see you've already participated above. We can also close it as withdrawn if you don't, since Kailash29792 doesn't wish to wait any longer. Incidentally, the reason this was never reviewed is likely because the nomination was never added to the T:TDYK page as specified in the DYK instructions (step 3), and the bot message about this missed step on Kailash29792's talk page must not have been understood. It will probably get reviewed in a week or so once I take care of this step, which I'll do if you want to pursue DYK. BlueMoonset (talk) 18:34, 2 February 2015 (UTC)
- Now I do wish to continue, because I have completed the step I earlier missed. I only gave up earlier because I thought I fucked up (not an offence, and WP:CENSOR) the DYK nomination, which is rectified now. Kailash29792 (talk) 18:51, 2 February 2015 (UTC)
- Full review needed; the nomination is back on track, and the deletion nomination has been withdrawn. BlueMoonset (talk) 19:13, 2 February 2015 (UTC)
- As a newly-promoted GA, this article is new enough and long enough. The ALT2 hook has an inline citation to a reliable source and is accepted in good faith. The article is neutral and I did not detect any close paraphrasing or copyright issues. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 07:10, 5 February 2015 (UTC)
- Cwmhiraeth, thank you for the review. But why is staccato not italicised, or linked? It's an Italian musical term meaning "detached". Kailash29792 (talk) 07:19, 5 February 2015 (UTC)
- I have linked it now.Cwmhiraeth (talk) 07:29, 5 February 2015 (UTC)
