St Martin of Tours Church, Detling
[edit]- ... that the 900-year-old St Martin of Tours Church, Detling has a carved wooden lectern called "the finest medieval fitting in any parish church in the county"?

- I read the source for the quote, and it's not "country", it's "county", which is a little less exciting but nonetheless a pleasant compliment to the lectern. I also hyphenated the adjective phrase of the age of the building in the hook. Length, date, other citations and sources check out. I fixed the country to county thing in the hook and the article, so it looks good to go. Cheers. poroubalous (talk) 16:50, 15 January 2012 (UTC)
- Looks like English Heritage may have misread it the same way I did. I originally was going to use the sentence from English Heritage in reference 1 that says "one of the finest and oldest remaining in England", but thought I would see what the Pevsner guide had to say, and that seemed a bit more "hooky".--DavidCane (talk) 21:25, 15 January 2012 (UTC)
