The Free State of Jones (film)
[edit]- ... that the upcoming film The Free State of Jones is about the true story of Newton Knight (played by Matthew McConaughey)?
- QPQ: Muhammad ibn Tughj al-Ikhshid
- Comment: Moved on Feb 26, so today was the last day to nominate the article.
Moved to mainspace by Captain Assassin! (talk). Self nominated at 04:06, 5 March 2015 (UTC).
- Failed DYK check for lack of length.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 19:56, 5 March 2015 (UTC)
- @Sturmvogel 66: Wait for a bit, I'm expanding the article in few hours. You have not even warned me or anything. --Captain Assassin! «T ♦ C ♦ G» 03:41, 6 March 2015 (UTC)
- You should have made sure it met the requirements before you nominated it. Let me know once you've expanded it past 1500 characters of prose and I'll look it over again.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 03:47, 6 March 2015 (UTC)
- @Sturmvogel 66: QPQ is given now. Article's expanded. --Captain Assassin! «T ♦ C ♦ G» 17:55, 6 March 2015 (UTC)
- Length is OK, but I have serious reservations about the language used in the article. It badly needs a copyedit and there are issues with close paraphrasing from the two sources that I checked. Notably [1] and [2].--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 02:59, 14 March 2015 (UTC)
- There is no more close-paraphrasing, and copy-edit is done. --Captain Assassin! «T ♦ C ♦ G» 18:12, 15 March 2015 (UTC)
- There is still problematic text here - for example, "the leader of one of the greatest rebellions in the Civil War history" is a direct quote from the source. Nikkimaria (talk) 21:07, 22 March 2015 (UTC)
- I've checked the whole article now. I've not found anymore close paraphrasing. --Captain Assassin! «T ♦ C ♦ G» 16:29, 26 March 2015 (UTC)
- I agree that there's no longer any close paraphrasing. I've significantly cleaned up the text, although I'm uncertain if the mini-plot summary in the production section is really necessary given the plot is summarized in its own section. I'd like another party to take a look at it and see if it's really necessary.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 17:21, 26 March 2015 (UTC)
- It does not bother though. Actually it's a part of development details, when we are explaining film's development, we have to explain who was set to play what and who to what along with a little bit of plot. --Captain Assassin! «T ♦ C ♦ G» 01:16, 27 March 2015 (UTC)
- New reviewer needed to check the issues raised by Sturmvogel 66. BlueMoonset (talk) 16:28, 15 April 2015 (UTC)
- @Casliber: Done. --Captain Assassin! «T ♦ C ♦ G» 16:53, 6 May 2015 (UTC)
