- This page existed as a new, unreviewed article in February 2013. KAVEBEAR has fully referenced it and brought it up to speed. But since this is not a BLP, I'm not sure if it qualifies for DYK unless it was expanded 5x. Pinging @BlueMoonset: for advice here. Thanks, Yoninah (talk) 06:52, 18 January 2017 (UTC)
- @Yoninah: Everything before December 1 was the edit history of User:Kuauli's userspace draft. See my request for the history merge here,--KAVEBEAR (talk) 07:01, 18 January 2017 (UTC)
- Oh, that's great. I was wondering what was going on here. OK, here is a full review: New enough, long enough, neutrally written, well referenced, no close paraphrasing seen. Offline hook ref AGF and cited inline. I think the hook could be jazzed up a bit with that word "unauthorized" that you used in the article, as:
- ALT1: ... that William Hoapili Kaʻauwai (pictured) traveled to Europe with Queen Emma, but made an unauthorized side trip to New Zealand to recruit Māori immigrants for the Kingdom of Hawaii?
- QPQ done. Yoninah (talk) 07:06, 18 January 2017 (UTC)

- Thanks. But since I added new information, I'll have to leave this to another reviewer to approve. Yoninah (talk) 07:26, 18 January 2017 (UTC)
- Qualifies as new article, neutral and now with inline citations and properly referenced bibliography. No problems with Earwig's copyvio. Alt1 is good and catchy, and citation is good, contained in a pdf document. QPQ is done and image is free of copyright issue as we can safely assume the author is dead + 100 years. Interesting read, thanks Mramoeba (talk) 22:37, 24 January 2017 (UTC)
