certainly date, sourcing and size, but my query is about notability of the term - when I googled it, I got lots of zombie strip clubs and ref 2 doesn't use the term...Casliber (talk · contribs) 02:28, 3 February 2012 (UTC)

The term itself is used more in the comics business than outside it, although the phenomenon itself is well known outside (it just doesn't have a name). I can only guess that Watterson didn't use the term explicitly because he was addressing people in the know (he did refer to "stumbling around", zombie-like). This is, perhaps, more of an "Oh, THAT's what it's called!" moment. --Piledhigheranddeeper (talk) 15:55, 3 February 2012 (UTC)

To be sure, googling the term gets you lots of pages about comic strips about zombies (what's with that?), and even some about zombie strippers, but two points: 1) the term does appear in a number of instances, and 2) is notability of a term really a criterion for inclusion on DYK? Some mighty obscure topics have appeared on that list recently (such as the former mayor of a suburb of San Francisco and a low-ranking white supremacist from decades ago). I'd OK this listing (
