Need

[edit]

Is there a need for this template. As there are mostly no other articles this is used to (other than Israel last time) or are there more? If not, then this is just overkill. Kante4 (talk) 15:15, 31 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I think there is, as most national team pages will feature these matches. The teams in groups already in this template do it. it will save work later, updating results in a single point instead of in multiple pages. Deancarmeli (talk) 21:19, 31 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Kante4: All matches are now created and transcluded to 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup qualification (Europe) § Qualifiers and to all relevant national team pages, giving them a uniform look and saving the trouble of updating every single one of them (when the time comes) by simply updating the template source. Template usage explenation

[edit]

Take for example the match of Slovakia vs. Belgium. It is transcluded into 3 pages: 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup qualification (Europe) § Group A, Slovakia men's national basketball team § 2021 and Belgium men's national basketball team § 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup qualification.
Updating it in Template:2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup qualification (Europe) – Qualifiers matches will automatically update the boxes in all 3 pages.
If you want to color the winners box, you can do it. For example, lets say Slovakia won the match, you will see:
