Grammar in use of taxon name
[edit]In general, it is better grammar to say something like "an S. s. brachydactyla individual" rather than "an S. s. brachydactyla", because "S. s. brachydactyla" refers to the entire taxon. The latter usage is analogous to saying "a Tenth United States Army" when you mean "a Tenth United States Army soldier". WolfmanSF (talk) 07:04, 15 June 2019 (UTC)
