Purpose

[edit]

A template for displaying a link to a template and with an added link to its talk page, plus a link to what-links-here for the template (the last two links abbreviated as "t" and "l"). Missing usage on template page

[edit]

I suggest adding this to the template:

Help missing

[edit]

{{ttl|foo}} where foo is the name of a template in the Template namespace (without the "template:" parameter).

Example:

{{ttl|stub}}

gives

Template:stub (links, talk)

Concur with gripe

[edit]
  1. Slender size of list of links says Template:Ttl (links, talk) need not be protected at all,
  2. Since this discussion is blocked around by a noinclude pair, just add {{Template talk:Ttl}} in the same noinclude block as now contains the categories... as a quick fix. This thing is not seeing enough use to warrant a WP:DOC type /doc page, nor will it ever if people can't find out what it does.

Agree that this template does not need full protection since it's not particularly high-visibility. I've reduced the protection to semi- —Wknight94 (talk) 01:49, 14 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
