Color change

[edit]

I guess that was a controversial change, so time to discuss, especially given Wikipedia:Don't edit war over the colour of templates.

Re recent color change to light blue which was reverted with rationale that it made the text harder to read, I thought I would explain my motive. The WPMED project pages are in the process of a bit of a spring clean, and a cosmetic change of several templates to light blue has taken place, to replace the old beige color. I guessed that the old color of the user box was to match up with those beige templates which are now, for the large part, gone. If difficulty reading the text was the only concern, I would still therefore prefer to change the color, with some adjustments to the text for readability ofc. Thanks for the explanation. Yes, the readability is the only concern. The change of font makes the template more readable (but less tidy in my opinion), but unfortunately, (dark) blue on (light) blue is still harder to read than would be necessary. Also the period at the end of the sentence is missing. --Eleassar my talk 10:43, 29 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I added the period as requested. Re. the untidy comment, I think this has to be a balance between readability and tidiness? Lesion (talk) 17:21, 1 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
There is no conventional font for userboxes, they have several sizes of font. Lesion (talk) 23:38, 19 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
