I am a senior citizen and volunteer one day a week at the Yorkshire Museum in York.

I do not have any specialist knowledge, but under the supervision of the curators I help to maintain specimens in the Geology collection by cleaning, repackaging and photographing them. I also help maintain the database by adding and updating records for individual specimens.

I have helped out with other projects, such as the refurbishment of the historic library, as needs have arisen.
