I'm Stephen. I have many interests, tropical fish (especially Killifish), beekeeping, woodturning, MG sports cars, Eastern Timber Wolves, science-fiction books and movies, anime, computers, and many other things too numerous to mention here.
- I've kept tropical fish since I was five or six. I love Killifish and am a former member of the American Killifish Association. Killifish colors are rivaled only be the saltwater species. I am currently keeping Koi in my pond, and breeding Corydoras julii (Leopard catfish) for myself.
- I'm a beginning beekeeper and a member of Northeast Oklahoma Beekeepers Association (NEOBA).
- I've been turning for a couple of years. Tim Yoder of Woodturning Workshop (Rogers State University Public TV, Claremore, OK) is to blame for getting me hooked on woodturning. I turn pens, among other things, and I'm never at a loss for a present for someone.
- I've driven MG sports cars for years, a couple of MG Midget roadsters, a 1958 ZB Magnette Saloon, several MG MGB roadsters.
- I was caretaker of a small pack of Eastern Timber Wolves for over ten years.
- I love Japanese anime, more sci-fi anime than horror anime.
- I'm a retired main-frame Systems Programmer. I specialized in main-frame SNA data networks (using IBM's VTAM and NCP). I've been playing with computers since the days of the S-100 bus (an Altair 8800b), back when Byte magazine was a few xeroxed pages stapled together, before the Apple II and the IBM PC came out.
More to follow as time permits....
