[edit]Broadway theater refers to theatrical performances staged in the large theters of 40 with 500 seats or more located in Manhattan, New York, USA.

History
[edit]From 1850s, the theatre of New York gradually was moved from downtown to midtown because They wanted low price of real estate.In 1870, Union square was the heart of broadway, the end of 19th century There were a lot of theatre around Madison square. Theatres did not exsist in Time square until 1900 and were built between 1920s and 1930s
