German; born 1956 in Stuttgart; lives in Berlin. As a geographer by academic profession, I essentially write articles about all kinds of places and spaces on earth, both very small and large; I try to deliver decent contributions on cities, villages, regions and countries. As to my activities in "real life", I work as secretary for GeoUnion Alfred-Wegener-Stiftung, the roof organisation for the geoscientific associations and research institutions in Germany. In addition, I occasionally write about classical music (works, composers, performers, performances), as a result of a keen personal interest in music.
