I was a tenured Full Professor in the Physics Department at the University of Ottawa, Ottawa, Canada, until 2009.
My research areas have included: condensed matter physics, statistical physics, environmental science, materials science, magnetism, Invar physics, meteorites, instrumental measurement methods, diffraction, spectroscopy, sediment diagenesis, climate change, and the interactions between science and society.
My main research areas since 2009 have included: environmental science, radiation balance physics for Earth, health and medicine, social theory, and domestic and international law of freedom of expression.

[edit]- The Ontario Civil Liberties Association (OCLA) has provided support to me in a freedom of expression litigation. I now do itemized volunteer work for OCLA.
- I am the author of the book Hierarchy and Free Expression in the Fight Against Racism.
