My username started off as a very dry finance/math joke from many years ago. Pi is arguably the most famous number, but e, sometimes known as Euler's number, is more important in finance given its role in exponential growth. E is also the basis of the exponential function, which Walter Rudin referred to as "the most important function in mathematics" (page 1 of "Papa Rudin"). Yay, e!
