Alla Berkovna Grinfeld (Russian: Алла Берковна Гринфельд; born April 16, 1953) is a chess Woman Grandmaster - Russian chess player, representative of the United States since 2001,[1] grandmaster since 1996.[2]

Career

In the 1970s, she participated several times in the finals of the individual women's Soviet Union championship. She started to take part in international tournaments after the collapse of the USSR, achieving several successes, incl. 1st place in the Bohemians tournament in Prague (1991) and 1st place in Silvaplan (1993). In 1997, she ended an active sports career.

The highest ranking in her career was achieved on January 1, 1987, with a score of 2305 points she was then 31-33 apart. place (together with Margarita Wojska and Ludmila Zaitseva) on the world FIDE list, while sharing 13-14. place among Soviet chess players.
