Description

With the advent of massive technology and globalization also the Musical Instruments Industry (Manufacture and Conservation) is going to require some international standard settings. This is about the identification of a particular instrument (or generally it's family) through a single 2-letters code ID.

Criteria for the assignement of the 676 possible combinations (case insensitive only) can still be discussed before the official proposal formulation to be brought to the competent authorities.

The following is a colour-coded decoding table of the possible International 2-Letters Code for the unique identification of the most popular Musical Instruments, as commonly known all over the world.
