Proposed deletion of Dipper's hat
[edit]The article Dipper's hat has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information, non-notable fictional object
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. RA0808 talkcontribs 01:14, 18 November 2016 (UTC)

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. RA0808 talkcontribs 01:25, 18 November 2016 (UTC)
Wikipedia is not a fansite
[edit]- Article content should be relevant.
- A subject is considered notable if it has received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject.
- Reliable sources typically include: articles from magazines or newspapers (particularly scholarly journals), or books by recognized authors (basically, books by respected publishers). Online versions of these are usually accepted, provided they're held to the same standards. User generated sources (like Wikipedia) are to be avoided. Self-published sources should be avoided except for information by and about the subject that is not self-serving (for example, citing a company's website to establish something like year of establishment).
- Always cite a source for any new information. When adding this information to articles, use <ref>reference tags like this</ref>, containing the name of the source, the author, page number, publisher or web address (if applicable).
- "Truth" is not the only criteria for inclusion, verifiability is also required.
Just because something exists in a TV show does not make it notable. I recommend you go try this tutorial before you edit additional articles. Ian.thomson (talk) 03:52, 18 November 2016 (UTC)
