I would like to extend and improve the information about Skip Beat! on this site, as I strongly admire the work.

Comparing multiple chapter pages on the wiki, I'm slowly coming up with a system to improve the main and character pages.

So far, the main concern I've come to involves finding the best structure for introducing new characters. Listings for Protagonists, Supporting, Minor and Antagonists do not allow for the introducing of new arrivals as they appear, and some characters fit into more than one section. So far, my outline is as follows:

Sho Fuwa- the reason Kyoko has lost an “important emotion” and the main target for her rage, Sho is a singing sensation and a childhood friend. His public persona is that of a cool, sophisticated star, aloof and mature. When alone or in private, he is lazy, loves pudding, enjoys languid lounging positions, variety shows, and laughs raucously at things he finds entertaining. Sho is a talented music composer and lyricist, and takes his work very seriously. When he left Kyoto and his parent’s Inns behind, he asked Kyoko to accompany him to take care of his needs, but never showed appreciation for her efforts and lived mostly with his manager, Shoko Aki. After breaking ties with Kyoko, he disregards her claims of revenge and is shocked when he finally sees her transformation. As the manga progresses, a gradual shift in his feelings for Kyoko becomes apparent. During Vie Ghoul’s attack on his career, Sho finds solace in Kyoko’s words and privately reflects on the positive effect she has on him. His work takes on depth and nuances as he realizes his feelings. He even releases a love ballad to rave reviews on December 25th, Kyoko’s birthday. He eventually becomes obsessed with the idea of monopolizing Kyoko’s heart and mind, even if only through her hatred for him. He becomes slightly mad with jealousy when he thinks of her with other men.

Reino- lead singer of the visual kei band Vie Ghoul, an esper. A stalker-turned-would-be love interest towards Kyoko, he originally intended to destroy Sho Fuwa’s singing career solely for his personal enjoyment. Reino turns his attention towards Kyoko when he witnesses her fantastic rage. He wants to mold her into a woman whom no other man but himself would be worthy of. Reino has supernatural abilities. After touching an object related to a person or event, he can “see” past happenings and sense the emotions associated with them. He can see Kyoko’s ‘grudge demons,” can physically hold them, and create barriers disallowing them to escape. Reino also made one of the Kyoko demons visible to all of his band mates, none of whom have supernatural abilities. He is unafraid of death but intensely dislikes pain.

Kuu Hizuri- at their first meeting, Kuu had already decided to treat Kyoko badly as a means to an end, but he discovers in her a "diamond" he would like to "polish" and so becomes her mentor for his short stay in Japan. Kuu has ties to Lory Takarada and Ren Tsuruga that further the overall plotline of the story, though Kyoko does not know anything about it.

Kyoko's Roles

Bo - the chicken for Bridge Rock’s variety show, Kimagure Rock, and Kyoko’s first official role. Bo is the guest escort and a segue device for the show. Bo is also Tsuruga Ren’s confidant. As Ren is unwilling to share his troubles, Bo will visit him when he is unhappy or troubled and offer advice or a willing ear. Ren lets down his guard around Bo, as he is a chicken, thus less of a threat than a “real” person. Ren is unaware of Bo’s true identity.

Schoolgirl A - Kyoko’s role as a schoolgirl, playing with her girl friend in a soda cm

Angel turned Demon- an angel whose concern and love for her friend lead her to commit murder thus turning her into something dark, a role for Sho Fuwa’s pv for his album, Prisoner

Mio Hongo - an emotionally wounded character, Mio is the dark, disfigured lady of a distinguished household. She harbors immense hate for those around her for various reasons, including the hero and heroine of the drama. Later, she becomes an ally of the two against the rest of her family.

Natsu - a charismatic, sexy, capricious teenager, Natsu is a spoiled girl with natural intelligence and confidence. To alleviate her monotony, she often reverts to bullying or any impulse that will hold her boredom at bay for any length of time. Her need for excitement often leads to cruelty towards others.

Setsuka Heel - sister of “Cain Heel,” a pseudonym or stage name for Tsuruga Ren. Cain Heel will play the role of B.J. in an upcoming movie production. Because Tsuruga’s involvement in the project is under wraps, a completely new identity was created for him. Kyoko plays his sister, accompanying her brother around Tokyo as “Cain Heel” films the part of B.J. Setsu has a massive brother complex and naturally wishes to remain by her brother’s side as he travels.

Kyoko Grudges

'Or "Grudge Demons," the author artfully mixes realistic fiction with the supernatural through the use of Kyoko’s “Grudge Demons.” They are the result of her Pandora’s Box being opened and are the manifestations of her anger, hatred, and malice. The grudges allow her some small powers of the supernatural variety. With their help, she can sense anger in others (most notably Ren Tsuruga), immobilize characters, and attack people who have angered her. When her feelings of “righteous anger” peak, Kyoko’s demons form a swirling vortex of darkness and hate around her.
