My username is JonathanLynn. I live in France. I used to work for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, and before that as a reporter and editor for Reuters for 32 years. My main interest is to edit and update material about climate change. Eventually I want to edit and create material about other topics that interest me, including music and literature (and the relationship between them) and history.

I worked for the IPCC as head of communications and media relations from November 2011 to November 2021 and then did some consultancy work for them in 2022, around the release of the IPCC Sixth Assessment Report in 2022.

I initially worked with articles on the IPCC, focusing on fixing broken links and updating material. I aim to respect and abide by Wikipedia's practices on Conflict of Interest. I exercise my editorial judgement honed in over three decades at Reuters to remain neutral and objective.

From August 2022 to July 2024, I am working on a research communications project with Wikipedia that deals with SDG 13 (action on climate change), Phase 2, which includes reviewing and editing articles on the IPCC or other climate change topics, or working with experts to do so. It is funded by a Swedish research council, and I am paid for my contribution. For more information see here.
