Joseph M Boy is a computer consultant and founder of a non-profit organization in Orlando, Florida.
Professional life
[edit]Boy has worked in the computer industry for over 20 years. [1] He started a Florida Corporation named Your Computer Solutions. [2] Through Your Computer Solutions he has worked with law firms, real estate agencies, consulting firms, and non-profit organizations. [3]
Boy founded and runs SolgamesUSA Foundation which recently received its 501(c)(3) Tax status. He began by running local LAN parties in the Orlando area and finding that young people had an interest in computers through video games. Through the charity he has, with the help of many volunteers provided over 85 computers to local non-profit organizations that work with kids and seniors. [4] Some of the more notable organizations that have received computers from SolgamesUSA Foundation are The Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Florida, Metropolitan Orlando Urban League, and Lighthouse of Central Florida.[5] Boy also speaks about computer video gaming and how it can be useful educational tool with our youth to create interest in learning about computers. He has spoken at libraries, conventions, and at the Central Florida Computer Society. [6]
