I was first bitten by the local history bug when I became involved with the restoration of a one-room schoolhouse in 2003. I write a weekly column on local history and authored and co-authored six books on the subject. I am a retired school guidance counselor. I earned an advanced diploma in Local History from the University of Oxford. I have two degrees in Psychology. I live in an old farmhouse in Pennsylvania with my husband and our two dogs.
