Industrybuying.com is a B2B e-commerce portal for industrial supplies based in New Delhi, India. The company was founded in 2013 by the siblings Rahul Gupta and Swati Gupta. The portal sells pumps, power tools, safety equipment and various other industrial products. The company's headquarter is in Ghitorni, New Delhi. Industrybuying has transformed its identity from a mere e-commerce enterprise to a community, where sellers and consumers meet and explore the lucrative opportunities of online trading.

In 2016, Industrybuying allied with the US based industrial supply company Grainger Inc. to expand its product catalogue. [1]

In early 2017, the company started its IB Affiliate program. [2]

Funding

Industrybuying has received several rounds of funding.

  • In February 2015, Industrybuying.com received US$2 Million (approximately 13.5 Crore) in its first round of funding from SAIF Partners. [3]
  • In September 2015, Industrybuying secured Rs 60 Crore (US$9 Million) in Series B funding led by Kalaari Capital, with active participation from SAIF Partners and BEENEXT[4]
  • As of December 21, 2015, Industrybuying received funding in round two of Seed B investment from Murugappa and TVS families.[5]
  • In 2016, Industrybuying raised $1.8 million (Rs 12 Crore) in debt financing from venture-debt provider Trifecta Capital. [6]

  • Industrybuying partnered with ePayLater to launch interest-free credit facility for its customers.[7]
  • Industrybuying integrated EMI feature in partnership with Innoviti on 27th April 2016. [8]
  • Also, the company teamed up with Paytm to simplify the transaction process and reduce the transaction time. [9]

  • Industrybuying was featured on the NDTV Prime in 'Unicorn- Startup chasing the dream' TV Show. [10]
  • On July 7, 2015, the company participated in Asian Machine Tools Exhibition (AMTEX) in Delhi to leverage the global platform in order to extend the reach and create brand awareness as a formidable player in B2B e-commerce. .[11]
