John David Abbott is recognized as a premier director, producer, writer, and photographer with a multilevel approach to his craft. David earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Texas, as well as garnering education from concentrated studies in business, advertising and psychology.

Following graduation, he spent the next decade becoming one of the premier music video directors in the business. Major record labels soon turned to Abbott for his extensive creative vision, whether it involved building intricate sets on sound stages, unique location shots or a complex story set to a lyric. After directing over 70 major music videos, Abbott produced and directed the dramatic thriller, “Charlie’s War.” This feature film stars Academy Award winner Olympia Dukakis and Golden Globe winners Diane Ladd and Lynn Redgrave.

In addition to producing and directing, Abbott is an accomplished photographer and director of photography. Since he was a young boy, Abbott has always been enamored with photography, and over the years he has developed his own dynamic style of image capture. With his extensive knowledge of lighting, composition, and working with people, he is always in demand for commercial and artist-related shoots.

Today, Abbott has produced over 140 TV episodes in 10 different countries. He has over 20 years of professional experience working with developing and chart topping artists, television and film production, commercial production and many other areas of expert experiences regarding production.

Abbott has worked with major clients such as Sony Entertainment, Curb, Warner Bros., Universal, NBC, Outdoor, Sportsman, and ESPN, as well as new artist and commercial clients.
