Data Bomb Squad

[edit]

This page is for informal brainstorming about Wikipedia related events and things at Nashville Public Library. Typically, this means organizing edit-a-thons at branches, but more importantly inspiring and helping each other.

What is Data Bomb Squad?

[edit]

Data Bomb Squad is Wikipedians who are also NPL staffers (and our allies).

The Superheroes edit-a-thon was good and bad. No one really showed (it was the Saturday of CMA) but it ended up being a good train the trainer day. We figured out tweaks to the Art+Feminism tutorial to make it better for a general audience. Then we worked on pop culture-related articles all day and agreed it would make for a good library program if we could get people to show.

For sure myself and/or MeganA-J or both will be hosting the next formal edit-a-thon in Sept / Oct based around Hispanic Heritage Month and/or Artober. We haven't decided yet. If you have thoughts please chime in. --Librarian Bryan (talk) 19:23, 16 June 2015 (UTC)
