Achievements: Physicist. Completed a BSc (Hons) in 2007. Completed a MSc in 2011. Completed a PhD in 2018.

Rifleman in Australian Army Reserve (enlisted 2008); qualified to operate the following weapons:

• F88 Steyr (later upgraded to EF88) and F89 Minimi (Nov 2008)

• M203 grenade launcher, M72 rocket launcher, M18 Claymore mine, MAG 58 machine gun, 9mm Browning pistol, 84mm recoilless rifle, hand grenade (Jan 2010)
