About MNH48

MNH48 is the username of Nurul Azeera Hidayah @ Muhammad Nur Hidayat (Jawi spelling: نور الأزيرا هداية الياس محمد نور هداية, Reading: /nrl/ /ɑːzrɑː/ /hɪdɑːjɑː/ /ɑːljɑːs/ /mʊhɑːmmɑːd/ /nr/ /hɪdɑːjɑː/) and it is combination of birth name abbreviations and favourite number. In the real world, I'm known with the nickname Yaya.

I had used a different account, User:MuhdNurHidayat, prior to using this account, but has since abandoned it. The direct mention of that name is considered a taboo as it is a dead name and it is very disrespectful.

Background

I'm a non-binary, and specifically hate when anyone try to associate me with the gender male or the concept of masculinity. I usually join events related to animation, comics and games (ACG) such as Comic Fiesta, while cosplaying female characters such as Toyama Kasumi from the Bandori franchise. On normal occassions, I wear gender neutral outfit such as jeans and t-shirt, but people could see me wearing very short skirt and long socks when hanging out with my friends. I'm a fan of the Zettai ryōiki culture and I also wear as such when going out.

I'm a Malay, and a Muslim by Malaysian law. However, I do not believe certain parts of Islam as interpreted by the religion authority in Malaysia, but rather taking a different view that has wider view, greater acceptance but with rejection of extremism and bigotry. I'm a Muslim that is pro-LGBT, as opposed to the majority of Malaysian Muslim who are anti-LGBT.

I came from Sungai Lalang, Kedah and currently live in Wangsa Maju, Kuala Lumpur.

Interest

I'm a fan of Vocaloid, LoveLive!, LoveLive! Sunshine!!, Bandori, and Revue Starlight franchises. I hate people who inverted Japanese name when writing Malay articles because Malay language prioritizes the original culture as much as possible and inverting the name considered an insult and causes confusion. My usual quote is Kekalkan format nama Jepun, dengan nama keluarga di hadapan dan nama diberi di belakang! (Keep the Japanese name format, with family name came first and given name afterwards!). However, I will write according to the required formatting when needed, such as for Wikipedia that follows most commonly used name order which could be in any order.

I'm also active in preserving the Malay culture and Malay language, as well as preventing pollution of Malay language from the imports of foreign words including from Arabic. I will stand forward whenever there are hints of import or recommendation to use loanwords in place of native words by any party. I will also stand forward to defend writing scripts of the Malay language, including encouraging the use of Jawi script the real way instead of importing Arabic way. One of the example is that I always use Jawi comma (⹁) instead of Arabic comma (،) when writing Jawi regardless what the current standard is, because that is what Malays been using for a long time before people try to eliminate Jawi-specific feature with the use of common Arabic feature, which for me is a threat to Malay language.

I'm quite active in translating free and open source softwares, but contribution to Wikipedia and all other projects are limited because I'm currently finding job in this country full of discrimination against gender minority. On the other time, I will be on Discord server for the Malaysian Bandori fan group named MYANDORI or on the other Discord servers, including the Malay Wikipedia server, giving opinion and discussing about Malay language, give feedback about Malay Wikipedia contents.

Hobby

  1. Translating foreign language to Malay
  2. Play video games
  3. Watch Japanese animation
  4. Read Japanese comics
  5. Edit videos and upload to YouTube
  6. Playing with the application Rainmeter
  7. Drawing with Inkscape
  8. Write website pages
  9. Create mods for the game engine Minetest
  10. Create texture for the game engine Minetest
  11. Host game server running Minetest

Editing Wikipedia is only one of my side hobby when my internet is okay. Usually, I create fansub for music videos that accept community contributions, especially for videos released by Virtual YouTuber like HIMEHINA and Mirai Akari. I usually do Malay translation, but sometimes I also do English and/or Chinese translation(s) if no one else are interested to do so.

Reasons for Contributing to Wikipedia

I'm on Wikipedia because I want to help in cleaning up articles related to Malaysia, my home country, (especially those pages that miswritten and confused between neighbourhood, town and city in my country) but it might take some time as I'm busy with finding jobs, playing games (CS:GO, Minetest), writing blog (en.mnh48.com), doing technical stuff (configuring servers, screaming at Ubuntu etc), doing non-profit translation works, wikia and miraheze among others.

I could be contacted through the user talk page or twitter @mnh48com ... Feel free to ask anything about Malaysia.
