Charles Brown Voorhis (March 13, 1870 - September 16, 1961) was an American industrialist, philanthropist, and educator . Charles Voorhis and his son, U.S. congressman Jerry Voorhis, were founders of the Voorhis School for Boys in San Dimas, California—which became what's today known as California State Polytechnic University, Pomona (Cal Poly Pomona) in 1938.[1]
