Hi folks!
I´m new to editing Wikipedia and I´m interested in social sciences and humanities, especially sociology and history. My real name is Paško Bilić. My research is focused on examining the experiences of Wikipedia editors in articles connected to current and ongoing events.
Here´s a short description:

This doctoral research focuses on uncovering the connections between Wikipedia (WP) and the new media environment. This will be performed through virtual ethnographies of the English and Croatian WP communities, and strategically selected cases of media events using Wikimedia statistics, documents, observation and interviews. Cases are based on the analytical differences between media events and include the In the news (ITN) main page section, 2008 Summer Olympics, 2010 Haiti earthquake and Libyan civil war. Two communities are selected for comparative reasons.
