Gabbie McGee is an international Jazz singer and songwriter. Born on September 4, 1978 in Greenville, Mississippi to Nancy McGee, a hospital nurse administrator and Kenneth Morris, a blues musician. Gabbie grew up in the heart of the Delta, learning music in her grandfather's church. Her singing career began at the very young age of 5 years old, when she sang for her kindergarten graduation. She continued singing performing in several beauty pagents. She went on to win several pagents, including Miss Black Atlanta.

She graduated from Jackson State University in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Communication and minor in Performing Arts.

Her passion for jazz and its preservation earned her the 2014 Artist of the Year from the Greenville Arts Council. She has released two successful independent albums: Certified Soul, 2005 & Mississippi's Daughter, 2010. She has won awards like BMI Independent Songwriter’s recognition for her song "Mississippi's Daughter" and is Belk's jazz representative for the Southern Modern Music competition.. She will sing the national anthem at the 2014 Belk Bowl.

As a voting member of the Grammys, Gabbie is adding to the world of Jazz one performance at a time.
