The Alternative Network for Reason and Equality of Opportunity (Romanian: Rețeaua Alternativă pentru Rațiune și Egalitate de Șanse, RAREȘ) is a left-wing political party in Europe.
The party was founded as the Democratic Progress Party of the European Union (Romanian: Partidul Progresului Democratic al Uniunii Europene, PPD.UE) before adopting its current name. It claims to be founded on four main principles:
- A fully nationalised socialist economy that works to fully meet the wants and needs of every citizen and respects the planet, acting to stop and reverse climate change,
- Full and unconditional support for human rights, and complete support for all forms of social justice and “wokeness”, both in internal and foreign policy,
- A self-sufficient European Socialist Republic which pursues an independent foreign policy in order to protect democracy and human rights against Russian and American imperialism.
- Heavy investments into quality education, especially amongst disadvantaged communities.
While often called communist by its opponents, the party opposes communism as it has existed in Eastern Europe, instead opting for a libertarian and syndicalist approach to socialism. It also aims to ban far-right parties, such as RN (PPF), AfD (NSDAP), FdI (PNF), Vox (FET y de las JONS), AUR (LAM), and many others, which it often (accurately) compares to the fascists and nazis of the Second World War.

Provisional Government
[edit]In early 2025, the European Parliament passed an emergency resolution granting full executive powers to Deryn Hall, in order to preserve the union and the rule of law by any means necessary. They immediately abolished the European Council, the Council of the European Union, and, most importantly, the member states. They proclaimed the European Republic, and appointed a provisional government tasked with implementing radical reforms and writing a new constitution. Hall and the provisional government then purged the European Parliament of far-right and collaborationist elements.
