Hey, my name is Rachel Josephine Hassell. I was born (October 4, 1987) in Houston, Texas and raised in Alvin, Texas. I enlisted in the Texas Army National Guard in 2005. After completing basic training and AIT (job training) I started attending Alvin Community College. After completing my 2-year degree in May 2009, I started working full-time for the federal government as a Production Controller (GS-09). After realizing my hunger for higher education I decided to attend University of Houston-Clear Lake and graduated with my B.S. in Psychology in May 2016. Now, I am a graduate student at the University of Houston studying in the M. Ed in the Higher Education. In the past, I have held various positions within each institution from academic, transfer, science computer and engineering advising to veteran's benefits and now the Urban Experience Program. Other hobbies and interests include Sci-Fi movies, musicals, Magic the Gathering, soccer and current lover of tv sitcoms such as New Girl and Master of None.
