Welcome on my Wikipedia user page.

My name is Jan Pešula. I was born and have spent most of my life in Prague, Czech Republic. For the last seven years, I have been working as an IT specialist on SAP R/3 projects.

My second passion are railways - especially traffic control, traveling on scenic and unusual lines and history of railroad network (abandoned tracks). You can see some of my related contributions in the Rail transport by country area, for example Rail transport in Central America (including main country specific pages) or Rail transport in Paraguay.

In Wikipedia, I was concentrating on Czech geography and biography topics (enhancing articles about Kuks, Dubí, Harrachov and others). However, writing articles is addictive and it has been taking too much of time which I need to spend on other, more important activities. Therefore, I decided to leave Wikipedia indefinitely on March 19, 2007.

Enjoy the 1.5+ million articles which many volunteers have contributed in their free time and if you have something to write yourself, go ahead. You may also look at some exotic train pictures and travelogues at my personal web site.
