The Patron Saint of APEURO Students is a legendary cryptid known to currently live in the Southern California region. Her residence is a highly classified secret, with only those of extreme clearance in Area 51 knowing of her exact whereabouts. Her alias for functioning in the realm of mortals is Teresa Grossi, and she teaches history at Heritage High School, as well as Political Science at local colleges.
Early Life
[edit]Little is known about Ms. Grossi's true origins, and there is no documented evidence accessible to the public at this time.
Early Sightings
[edit]In the early 1790s, she was spotted by a small gathering of French peasant women escaping the home of known radical revolutionist Maximilien Robespierre, and it is speculated that she was the one behind the employment of the guillotine on French nobility. These theories are contradicted, however, by the fact that Teresa Grossi was, at a point in time, French nobility herself, and some historians believe that she infiltrated the monarchy's inner circle years beforehand in order to set in motion the events which would lead to the French Revolution. She would proceed to go underground for some time afterward, as sightings of her died off around the time of the executions beginning, and she was thought to have died in the chaos that ensued during the time. She was spotted once again in a nearby country, nearly 150 years later, and after that her infamy only grew.
In 1945, with the success of the Allied forces against the Axis powers during World War II, Ms. Grossi was sighted retreating into the shadows away from the bunker that German dictator Adolf Hitler and his wife were hidden in. Soon after rumors arose that she was the one to save the galaxy from Hitler, who had been performing biomolecular engineering experiments on wheat bread in order to wipe out the planet's gluten-tolerant population, as the population that is not able to handle gluten was thought to be weak and easily controlled. It is through her heroic actions that we are not all enslaved in a gluten-free, joyless wasteland.
The Truth Behind The Sightings
[edit]The true story behind her ability to appear during not only key events in history, but also still retain her youth in the present day (2017), is due to the fact that she is immortal. She was not using any form of time travel, nor has she been practicing witchcraft (however some are suspicious of her high activity rates during the Salem witch trials),
Deaths
[edit]To this day, little is known of any potentially life threatening injuries, and with no documented bodies that match her physical description, it can be presumed that she is not only immortal but indestructible as well.
Sanity
[edit]Out of everyone, Grossi is most likely the most complex person in terms of mental stability. She is extremely sane, and possesses remarkable cognitive abilities, as proven by her ability to attend college for as long as she did and proceed to achieve such high degrees. However, her brain was unfortunately damaged in the process, which was knowledge she unveiled to her 2016-17 APEURO class, during 1st period.
Emotional impact
[edit]The insecurity and anxieties that early APEURO students felt upon entering her class were quickly replaced with a zen-like feeling of peace thanks to Grossi's quick wit and sharp sense of humor. In summary, we love her.
